When guests arrive at an event, everything is supposed to look effortless. The music is playing, the lights are on, the screens are working and then you hear that familiar voice: “Ladies and gentlemen, please take your seats…” But there’s actually quite a bit that happens before that first announcement. As a live event announcer and Voice of God (VOG), I’ll usually be checking the running order, going through the script, making sure I’ve got everyone’s name and pronunciation
